Successful candidates will have a working knowledge of the MA Arts Curriculum Frameworks and be prepared to implement a robust and culturally responsive music curriculum. Our music teacher at Conant has to opportunity to be at the center of learning through collaboration, whole-school activities, and celebrations. Our goal is to make learning relevant and fun. Presently, rehearsals will be on most Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. They will learn the liturgical year as interpreted by Episcopalians.Ĭhoral Interns will tentatively sing on the following dates. Choral Interns will be exposed to a variety of church music and the practice and habit of regular worship leadership in a liturgical setting. There will be opportunities for small group and quartet singing of more advanced music. Choral Interns would be responsible for finding and paying their own replacement for missed Sundays, in consultation with the Choirmaster.

Sunday worship service from inception of the program to June, plus additional dates outlined below. A simple audition will be required.Ĭhoral Interns will attend one weekly rehearsal and the 10 a.m. Most Sundays there are three or four hymns, some service music, a choral introit, and an anthem in a variety of styles.Ĭhoral Interns do not need to be Episcopalians, or even Christian, so long as you understand that we are, and will be singing music that reflects our theology and values. The choir is volunteer and sings most Sundays between September and late May or early June.
